Hello, and welcome to Heritage Mama Co.
I’m Alisha — the creator behind this space.
Heritage Mama Co. was born from intention, softness and deep cultural grounding. This is a space where Black mothers can feel seen, honoured and held throughout their pregnancy journey.
Heritage Mama Co. exists to amplify our stories, protect our wellbeing and remind us that our motherhood is sacred.
My Story
Heritage Mama Co. grew from my own experience of navigating pregnancy while searching for culturally grounded support and gentle emotional space. I wanted a journal that honoured my identity as a Black woman — one that recognised our histories, our wisdom, our softness, and the realities we move through.
I couldn’t find it.
So I created it.
What began as a personal desire to document my own journey evolved into a vision to support other Black mothers with tenderness, grounding and cultural truth. Each journal is designed with intention — rooted in our heritage, emotional wellbeing and the traditions that shape our motherhood.
My hope is that every page gives you room to breathe, reflect, connect and honour who you are becoming in this sacred chapter of life.
